are born with magic dust in their veins which grants them the ability to control elements such as water, air, earth, fire, stone, electricity and more. Sihara is a rare exception as she has no powers.
The nobility are known as highborns while the peasants are lowborns. The ability to control that element is usually passed on to the children if they are pure blood.
Your title in the court is decided by how much land you own and how much money you have which has a direct correlation.
